When you hover over another player's avatar a home symbol with an up arrow below it shows up, indicating that when you click on their avatar you will go to their city. When you hover over your own avatar there's an " i" symbol that does show up, and I think it's to indicate that if you click on your avatar the info window from your Town Hall shows up. Okay, I went and looked at my Social Bar. You should have someone in your guild explain the proper game terminology so we can understand what you're referring to. What "I" symbol? And when you click on what? And why would the "home symbol" be better. Your Avatar does not accept forge points? What does that even mean? In fact, neither of the sentences in your post make any sense.
